We're in it for Katie!
It's been nearly a year since our dear friend Katie discovered she had a brain tumor. What a shock it was. Katie is a loving mother of two sweet young children Lucky & Haven - and adored wife of her husband Micah.
Katie’s life and reason for living is
her family, especially her children who she adores with all her heart and worked so incredibly hard to
have. She has been so appreciative of her large circle of wonderful
friends near and far, and considers herself to be very fortunate.
It's been a year of trips to the hospital, surgery, chemo, seizures, medications... as you can imagine the emotional and physical challenges have been tremendous.
Immediately her friends and family rallied, as close communities often do. Meals were delivered, rides were provided, babysitting and playdates, just being with her as she dealt with the incredible challenges of this year. But in addition to the physical and emotional challenges - there are financial ones as well.
And so this circle of Katie's friends is coming together again - and reaching out. At Katie's request we have teamed up with
The Talbert Family Foundation to create
KATIE'S FUND. Together we are working to spread the word, to help raise funds to help Katie and her loving family in this time of crisis.
100%
of all monies donated to the fund will be
donated to Katie and her family to help defray ongoing expenses for her
treatment. Further, the Talbert Family Foundation will match the first
$5,000 raised in this fund and has provided a $5,000 honorarium as well!!
